Toward the end of the 2014-15 season, we had the opportunity to begin teasing a completely overhauled Milwaukee Bucks brand.
The incredibly talented crew over at Doubleday & Cartwright had put together a set of fresh brand and word marks, but had yet to really flesh out the animation side of the brand.
As the mid-April brand launch approached, we were happy to join in the fun and produce a video unveiling the brand in-arena and online to the public for the first time.
Between seasons, we had our work cut out for us. The previous four years of work on video bumpers, in-area graphics, player cards, and more had to be completely scrapped and redone to match the new brand–which amounted to thousands of deliverables.
This allowed our team to be able to take a video or LED board set from request to delivered content in less than six hours–including downloading gigabytes of footage, gathering assets, rendering previews, exporting and delivering final, arena-ready files. By close of the 2015-16 season, our team had optimized the workflow even further.
Just like previous seasons, we helped the Bucks with home game theme nights. And we go hard in the paint.
With nights ranging from Star Wars Night, Country Western Night, Super Hero Night, and Flashback Fridays for the 1970s / 80s / 90s, we customized the entire look and feel of player cards, LEDs, and intro videos. The social media response was huge.
