Pure Storage:
Accelerate 2016 + Live Roadshow

As our first major project as Pure Storage's agency of record, we hopped into the creative seat for their first-ever user conference. No pressure.

Becoming the Creative Agency of Record for Pure Storage in January of 2016, Signal Factory was quickly integrated in to the culture and workflow for this massively disruptive company.

Prior to the AOR agreement, we had already begun working on Pure Storage’s first ever user conference – “Accelerate 2016.” This two day showcase featuring all things Pure Storage, more than two dozen partners, and keynote speakers from around the world of technology was to take over Pier 48 in gorgeous San Francisco, CA.

Over the next three months, we were responsible for branding, designing, and animating the entire show. Working closely with teams on-site in San Francisco and as far away as Maine, we were responsible for overall art and creative direction spanning across outdoor and online promotional advertising prior to the event, way-finding signage, wall and stage graphics, animated loops for show floor LEDs, video and presentation content for the 110’ main stage screen, custom LED lighting sculptures, and a custom intro video to kickoff the opening night keynote.

Relying on our experience as concert graphic artists, we were itching to make the conference's 110' main stage screen feel completely immersive.

Pure also announced a brand new product during the event – and insanely big (or small, depending on how you look at it) all-flash storage array called Flashblade. We produced and animated the Flashblade product announcement used during the conference and on the Pure Storage website afterwards. The finished piece can be viewed here.

Partnering with Fridays Films in San Francisco, we teamed up to make a recap video from Day 1 that was shown less than 12 hours later during the keynote of Day 2.

The show was such a success that Pure Storage took the conference on the road to more than 50 cities around the world in the summer of 2016 – called Pure Live 2016. We again were tasked with developing the identity and creative direction for the entire traveling event that needed to be relevant across multiple languages and cultures.
