TO THE MOON
Shot over a late spring night on the (incredibly steep) banks of gorgeous Keystone lake–just outside of Tulsa, OK–this spot kicked off three consecutive nights of shooting for the 2014 Streamlight commercials.
NOT A TEST
The last night of three consecutive overnight shoots was arguably the most fun.
Example: One of the Signal Factory guys (*cough* Jonathan *cough*) hadn’t grown up around firearms like the rest of the crew. Knowing this fact made for a hilarious first shot with live rounds from an AR15. Even with earplugs, safety glasses, and a safe distance from the action, one guy (*cough* *cough*) may or may not have ended up ten feet away and against a chain link fence in shock.
And yes. Everyone found it hilarious.
When Signal Factory rolls into your neighborhood, you know you’re in for a treat. All the exterior rain, wind, and lightning shots you see bookending the spot were produced in-camera and on-location with an incredible array of lighting and effects setups. Generators, strobe lights, massive fans, bags (…and bags…and bags) of leaves, and a couple huge rain machines made this spot an adventure–for us and the neighborhood.
Dozens of neighbors even came out and brought their kids and lawn chairs just to see what was going on.
