The team at Streamlight had concerns about competitors using safety as a general marketing talking point rather than an area requiring expertise in classifications and ratings. After all, heat-producing flashlight and headlamp bulbs in the wrong environments can pose significant risk to users. We developed an animated explainer video to educate audiences about what lights to use when and where. Tonally and visually, this project was an intentional departure from the Streamlight brand to avoid being ignored as marketing chatter and ensure we could capture the attention of users who needed to hear the message most.
