With a nearly unrecognizable new product architecture and a reinvigorated vision, Weka was ready to shed its startup skin and step into a bigger, bolder brand identity.

The Challenge

The data storage and management market is fast-moving and full of giants.
Weka paved its way with a cutting edge data storage technology that quickly earned the hearts of tech enthusiasts and early adopters, but after a few years in the field, the company is no longer a call-us-and-we’ll-build-it type of shop. It’s a fully productized data platform ready to support the highest ranks of the Fortune 500. And it needed a brand to match.

The Solution

Years of working in lockstep with Weka’s internal teams behind us, we understood how its personality would need to evolve in order to communicate the brand’s newfound confidence and direction. The launch would signal that there was a new Weka in town, one that was stable and reliable but still had the delightful edge that drove the brand’s ascent.
Weka was set to reintroduce itself on the global stage, with launch events in San Francisco, London, and Singapore. To pull it off, we got to work architecting a far-reaching runway, complete with a website refresh, brand video, and social content.
